Evaluation Precess
This is a step by step precess for someone looking to enroll their child in a special education program in Cyprus:
1) When you are ready to give your child special education classes and/or speech therapy by a public school then you first need to fill out this form that will specify
who you are and what are the child's needs.
2) Then you can contact 25-870-280 and ask for the phone number or fax number of the city you are looking for. You will ask for the mailing address of the Special
Education District Comity. You can send your form there. They will reply to you soon.
3) On the letter that you will receive from the SEDC you will be told who will evaluate your child and their contact Information.
4) After the child will be evaluated the Comity will decide if the child is considered a "special education child" or not and if so, what other therapies will be provided.
5) In case you disagree with the SEDC's decision, you have 15 days to make a written objection and ask for a reevaluation.
6) The whole precess may take more than 50 or 60 days. You need to be patient because there are a lot of children waiting in line.
